Put Your Money Where Your Mouth Is

Our series over the parables of Jesus continued Sunday with us considering what really matters in life. Our words can often declare one thing while our actions speak the truth. What we put our time, effort, and resources into demonstrates definitively what we treasure or consider important. Is our treasure in self? Do we see church as feeding and benefiting self or others? Christ came into the world, not for his sake, but for ours. His death, burial, and resurrection was for us, not him. We as recipients of God’s grace must quit trying to make Christ about us and start making us about Christ. Talk is cheap. Are we ready to walk the walk?
