MUSIC MOMENTS 5/19/2025

Dear FBCBC Church Family,

As we were getting ready to come to church this morning, it just seemed as though something was just not right. We checked off our list to make sure we were not leaving anything behind: Bibles, keys, phones, sunglasses, makeup, suit coat, contact case, hat. Nope, we had it all. We got to church early enough to catch Hiram making his Sunday Morning rounds.

Praise People, sound and video guys begin to trickle in to run through the songs in the Church Program. We held hands and formed our big circle on the platform. Asked for any prayer requests, then had prayer. Everything was good so far.

The first song we practiced for the Worship Service was “I Will Not Be Shaken.” Things did not seem to be quite right. Now, we do not want to give the enemy any credit, but it was as if several unexplained things happened. For instance: The words which were keyed into the computer for the song service were not in order.

“OK,” you say, “No big deal,” unless you are the one responsible or the one who doubled & triple checked things.
“OK,” you say, “No big deal,” unless you sing the wrong words.
“OK,” you say, “No big deal,” unless you play the wrong notes or play at the wrong time.
“OK,” you say, “No big deal,” unless you sing before you are suppose to and no one joins you.

Get the point? Acts 4:32 says: “Now the multitude of those who believed were of one heart and one soul … And with great power the apostles gave witness to the resurrection of The Lord Jesus. And great grace was upon them.”

OK, so just think what could be done for Christ if we had one heart, one soul, great power, great grace, purity of heart and The Presence of the Lord.
