VBS went great! I want to thank everyone for your participation. It truly was a great week. It took everyone to make it what it was. Kate was one of the ones that I talked to who was ready to receive Christ. I talked to one other who was also ready. Please pray for these kids. They used to come to Bible school prepared and ready. Now they don’t. Church kids, yes. But for the most part we are watering and planting. So, Please Pray.

We want to give Cody a big ol’ welcome! He will hit the ground running! We Have Breakfast of Champions right around the corner. He will need to prepare for all of that.  Plus school is starting and we know that will be a busy time for him. We are very excited to have him and Sara with us. Be sure to give him some encouragement along the way. Please pray for him and participate with him. 

Yesterday was an exciting day here at First Baptist Church. It was so good to see Mark here. It was great to see Kate come forward publicly confessing Christ. It was good to have Cody. It was just a good day.

Do you remember what Jesus said in Matthew 7:21-23? He said, “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!”

Wow! Not everyone who calls me Lord will enter the kingdom. That is why I have been hitting us with the gospel. If you’re sure that’s fine, but if not you’d better be sure!

Guess what? The Pumpkins are coming! Get ready.
