HE REIGNS

HE REIGNS . . .

It’s the song of the redeemed rising from the African plain
It’s the song of the forgiven drowning out the Amazon rain
The song of Asian believers filled with God’s holy fire
It’s every tribe, every tongue, every nation
A love song born of a grateful choir

I was reminded of this song this past week while shopping.  A sweet little Asian lady stopped me in the store and asked me for help.  She was holding a pair of children’s shoes she was going to purchase and I thought she assumed I was an associate there at the store.  Her English was limited, but she seemed to understand when I threw up my hands and said I don’t work here.
She then said, No, help me.  I then noticed she was holding her glasses in her hand and her necklace was tangled around the glasses.  It was one of those very thin gold chains and those can be tricky to get unwound.  I did help her, it took some doing, but after I got the chain unwound, she asked me to put it back on her.  Its then I noticed it was a cross necklace.

After I got the clasp hooked, I picked up the cross in my hand and said, Jesus.  She understood that and shook her head with shining eyes. She wanted to make sure that necklace was back on her neck. It was precious to her.  I felt the kinship with her, sisters in Christ.  She went on and so did I, but we had a moment.

I believe that God gives us these moments to just remind us that we have brothers and sisters across the world.  “Every tribe, every tongue and every nation.”

God bless ya’ll.
For His Glory,  Debbie
