GOD’S ANSWERS OUR PRAYERS….HE KNOWS ME!

GOD’S ANSWERS OUR PRAYERS….HE KNOWS ME!
At our monthly prayer meeting this past Sunday evening, Pastor asked us to think of a prayer that God has answered in our lives.  Several mentioned some wonderful things that God has done in their lives and the lives of the people they have prayed for.

I just mentioned that while on my trip last week to visit family, I got a “bug” on Friday and was down for the count.  I had planned to leave on Friday to head home.  I always think of the Sunday coming up and how God has called me to be in that place.  There was going to be no driving home on Friday.  I wasn’t even sure how Saturday would pan out.

There were prayers lifted up and Saturday morning, I was able to drive home.  I was thankful for that.

As I was going to sleep Sunday night, I started thinking about my prayers that God has answered.  As I thought, I felt the Lord impress on me that He actually answers every prayer we pray.  Sometimes, it’s yes, sometimes, no and sometimes, you have to wait.

I have prayers that I have been calling out to the Lord about for a very long time about family and it seems that waiting is the answer for now.

But, the thing God impressed on me most is that His love for me is a yes.  His grace and mercy is a yes.  I feel so extremely loved and cherished more than ever in my life by God.  Sometimes, I feel disciplined and chastised by Him. Other times I feel guided and protected by Him.

Psalms 139: 1-6 “You have searched me, Lord, and you know me.  You know when I sit and when I rise; you perceive my thoughts from afar.  You discern my going out and my lying down; you are familiar with all my ways.  Before a word is on my tongue you, Lord, know it completely.  You hem me in behind and before, and you lay your hand upon me.  Such knowledge is too wonderful for me, too lofty for me to attain.”

He knows my name.  He knows how I will react in any situation and He know what’s best for me for His glory.

Everything, from his love, grace and mercy and His discipline and chastisement is all for His glory.

He knows my name!

For His glory,
Debbie
