MORNING HAS BROKEN
MORNING HAS BROKEN . . .
I don’t know about you, but at the end of the day, when I lay down to go to sleep, by mind runs away with itself. I will lay there and worry about everything I said or did that day. If I run out of things to worry about, I go to the past and dig something up to worry about. The next morning, I wake up and ask God to please forgive me for anything I said or did that hurt anyone and ask that He help me be a better person today.
So, this morning was no different, except for the fact that I am at my sisters. How wonderful to visit family. The people who love you no matter what. The ones who know you well and accept you just the way you are.
These are the things on my mind this morning. We are only promised today. We love our families, this is easy. We love our close friends, this is easy. We are to love those who hate us, not so easy. We are to love people we don’t even know, not so easy.
I Peter 3:8 “Finally, all of you, be like-minded, be sympathetic, love one another, be compassionate and humble.”’
Matthew 22: 37-39 “Love the Lord your God with all you heart, soul and mind…….Love your neighbor as yourself.”
Our church is committing to going out and reaching people for Christ. There is no way to do this without loving others, our neighbors, our family, each other.
So, if we woke up this morning, we have another chance. Another day to love and glorify God and to love others.
“Mine is the sunlight, mine is the morning
Born of the one light, Eden saw play
Praise with elation, praise every morning
God’s recreation of the new day.”
What will we do with today . . .
For His glory,
Debbie
