Dear FBCBC Family and Friends,
This morning as we walked out the back door of our house, Pammie K heard the rooster from across the pasture crowing. She laughed and said “Uh Buddy, you’re just a little bit late with that crowing.” It was already daylight.
I am not sure why but we forgot several different things we need to bring to church. So, we had to go back into our house to retrieve them. Actually, we went back into the house, twice. (I know that does not happen to y’all.) The crazy thing is: Neither one of us got aggravated.
Anyway, we backed out of our drive only to see the most beautiful coral, orange colored sun rise we have possibly ever seen in our almost fifty years of marriage. It was huhe! And it was directly behind us in our rear view mirrors as we drove west towards Texas.
It stayed right there getting brighter and brighter for about 7 minutes as we traveled. Once we turned south, the trees blocked our view of the sun. About 5 minutes later when we were looking for it again, the brilliant sun was smaller and lighter yellow. Nice, but not near as eye catching.
If we hadn’t had to go back into our house to get those things we left behind, we would have missed that gorgeous sunrise. Just think, there are opportunities God puts in our path every day to serve Him. I don’t know about you, but I don’t want to miss a single one of them. This week join us in looking where God is working (like the Pumpkin Patch unloading) and help us out.
Be intentional day by day!
Looking to Jesus, The Author and Finisher of our Faith!
