THANKFUL

THANKFUL . . .
I struggled this morning with what to write about in my article this week.  I started several drafts with different subject matters that are in my heart but couldn’t get very far.

I think we can always take a minute and just be thankful.

I am thankful for First Baptist Bridge City, where there is so much love and all those church body parts are alive and active.  

Ephesians 1:23 “The church is Christ’s body, the completion of him who himself completes all things everywhere”.

We are thankful for our Pastor who hears from God and preaches His word boldly.  

We are blessed with wonderful Sunday school teachers and classes where we learn more about Jesus each week and are blessed with the fellowship among the members.  

A special shout-out to all the ones who work behind the scenes taking care of our building and grounds or visiting our sick and home-bound.  Most of the time, we don’t know who these people are or the sacrifices they make.

We are blessed with so many gifted and talented people who when given a task, just take it and run with it, directed by God each step of the way.

Romans 12:6-8 “Since we have gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, each of us is to exercise them accordingly; if prophecy according to the proportion of this faith; if service, in his serving; or he who teaches, in his teaching; or he who exhorts, in his exhortation; he who gives, with liberality; he who leads, with diligence; he who shows mercy, with cheerfulness”.

We work well together at FBCBC!  I am thankful!
