WHAT I KNOW FOR SURE

WHAT I KNOW FOR SURE . . .
Have you ever been asked the question “What do you know for sure?”  I can tell you that I know nothing about the world we are living in at this time.  I think I walk around in a confused state most days because it seems like everything is turned upside down.  I remember years ago my Mother told me “Honey, one day when you get older, you are not even going to know what you don’t know.”  Well, I think we are there!   At least as far as the things of the world is concerned.

However, I do know for sure - 
God created me.  “for you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb…..” Psalm 139:13   

God has a purpose for my life.  “for we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” Ephesians 2:10

God is still working on me. “for it is God who is at work in you, both to will and to work for His good pleasure.” Philippians 2:13  

My life is in His hands. “In his hand is the life of every living thing and the breath of all mankind.”  Job 12:10

God is in control. “I know that you can do all things, and that no purpose of yours can be thwarted.”  Job 42:2

I am thankful to be a member of First Baptist Bridge City and have been given the chance to use my musical ability for the Lord and to lead and encourage others to use their talents and abilities for the building up of the Kingdom of God.  

Let’s all use the gifts and talents God has given us for the purpose of building His Kingdom.  We are here to do the work that God created for us and prepared in advance for us to do.
