Youth Ministry Update
Church Family,
I want to remind you that the sign-up sheet for Hot Hearts is available, and we’re looking forward to another meaningful weekend of worship, teaching, and spiritual growth for our students. Hot Hearts continues to be a powerful opportunity for students to hear the gospel clearly, deepen their faith, and see that they are not walking this journey alone.
Looking ahead to January, we are also excited to announce evangelism training for our students using the Evangelism Explosion program. This training will equip our youth to confidently and clearly share the Gospel, not just with words, but through everyday conversations and relationships. We would love for parents to be involved as well, as sharing our faith is something best learned—and lived—together as families. More details will be coming soon.
BK brought a beautiful lesson from Ruth 3, drawing out the Gospel message for all to hear. Before Ruth went to Boaz, she was instructed to wash, anoint herself, and prepare. That moment often gets misunderstood—but the heart of the passage isn’t about Ruth making herself worthy. It’s about approaching the redeemer in humility, trust, and obedience. Boaz’s response wasn’t based on Ruth’s preparation; it flowed from his character, kindness, and willingness to redeem.
In the same way, God does not require us—or those we are reaching—to “clean ourselves up” before coming to Him. The gospel is not an invitation to self-improvement; it is an invitation to surrender. Christ meets us where we are, not where we think we should be. That truth is essential for evangelism, especially for our students. They need to know—and see modeled—that grace comes first, and transformation follows.
Thank you for your continued prayers and support as we seek to share the hope of Christ with the next generation.
In Christ,
Cody
