BK’S KORNER
At FBC we are a people committed to Glorifying God by Going into the world and make disciples and by _____________. Haha.  I haven’t given you the third word yet.  It will come in the next couple of weeks.  If you haven’t listened to the January 1st  sermon then you need to.  It is beginning to set the course for our Church. I am excited about the new year and what God has in store for us.

First, we will begin to have monthly, Sunday evening prayer services.  The second Sunday of every month we will meet for prayer at 5:30 pm. Please join us.  We are going to pray together as a church body.  We will pray for our community our church and anything else that God desires us to pray for. Please be involved … even of you are unwilling to pray out loud, be there and join in agreement by praying in your heart. 

Next, I really want to commend our church family.  A few days before Christmas I sent out a request that I had received for some Christmas gifts for two little boys.  You all responded immediately with an overwhelming outpouring of generosity. In one day we had such a blessing for those boys.  When their aunt, who had contacted me, came to get the gifts she was overwhelmed. I told her that there was a lot of doubling up of the items and if she needed to the family could exchange some for other things.  She said, “No.  I know of a couple of other little boys that need some Christmas as well!”  I never cease to be amazed at your willingness and generosity.  Thank you!

On a side note, if you didn’t receive any communication from me regarding that matter then you are not on my email list.  If you would like to be, just drop me an email at pastor@fbcbc.org and ask me to add you. I will and I also promise to not flood your inbox with worthless information or “chain” emails that say you don’t love Jesus if you don’t forward to 10 people. (haha is that even still a thing?).  I will only send an email when I have news I need to get out. 

Reminder, we will be back in the Soup Kitchen on January 24. Hope you will plan to help this year. 

Keep Sunday, February 5th marked on your calendar.  You won’t want to miss.  We will have a guest speaker from Creation Ministries International with us.  He will have the Sunday School hour and the Worship service hour for his presentation.  I know you will be blessed.
