BK’S KORNER
I was trying to catch us up on all the announcements yesterday, but I left out one important one.  I know the word is out, but I still want to reiterate it. We are going to do Fall Festival differently this year.  We are instead going to have a Trunk or Treat. We are asking people to decorate the back of their cars or trucks and the kids will go from car-to-car Trick or Treating.  We are collecting candy so we will provide you with candy to give out. If you desire to have a game at your car you are certainly encouraged to do so. Lynn has put some together that you are welcome to use if you desire.  If you want to have a prayer or evangelism booth, please do so.  Set up at the back of your car or truck and do whatever you like. We will still have the train and a few other attractions. We are just changing it up a bit.

I hope that you will make a concerted effort to begin a prayer life this week if you don’t already have one.  If you do have one then I hope you are renewing your commitment to continue earnestly and to be vigilant in it. Prayer will be the key for your spiritual life as well as for the spiritual vitality of our church.

Yesterday as one of my friends left church he said, “You know, you provide a prayer trigger every Sunday morning.”  I said, “I do?”  He said “Yes. Every time you ask the kids a question when they are down front, every parent in the place starts to pray about what their kid might say!”  I think that is probably true! Whatever it takes.

Thank you to all who have been helping in the Pumpkin Patch. The Patch really picked up over the weekend so continue to help out when you can.  We will be receiving another partial load on Saturday.  As of now they are scheduled to be here at 3 pm.  Please come help us unload. It shouldn’t take too long. Also, be sure to bring the kids and the grandkids and let them play in the Pumpkins.

Hope you all have a great week. I pray God’s blessings will be upon all of our church families. Continue earnestly in prayer, being vigilant in it with thanksgiving. Colossians 4:2.

Love you all.
