BK’S KORNER
A busy end of year approaches. Here are just a few things to mark down and watch for more information to come.
Our Pumpkin Patch is in full swing. Please sign up to work. I’m on vacation and coming home today. I’m anxious to see how it’s done.
We will be having our Fall Festival on October 28. We want to try something a little different this year. We are going to have a trunk or treat. We are asking people to decorate the trunk of their cars or the back of their truck and we allow kids to go from car to car trick or treating. We are still collecting candy so we will provide that for you to distribute. You may have some game at your car to run if you like. In fact I think Lynn Richard has put together some smaller type games if you’d like to use one. Of course we will still have the train! That’s a huge hit with the children.
We will be having our church wide Thanksgiving meal on Sunday November 19.
Also on November 19 we will be having a Baby Dedication in our morning Worship Service. If you would like to participate please call the church office. I know we have not done anything like this in quite a few years. Therefore if you have an older child that you have never done this with before then you are welcome to participate as well.
Then comes December. I do not have my calendar with me so I don’t have dates but stay tuned in and the dates will come. We will be having our Taste of Christmas. Also coming in December will be a county wide Christmas Crusade at the Orange County Convention Center. It will be a three night Revival that is sure to be a Blessing. More information to follow.
Of course we will have our Christmas Eve Lord’s Supper service and our Christmas morning Family Gathering.
It has been a great year to be a part of First Baptist Church. Pray that God’s Spirit will continue to move. We will finish the year strong and enter next year wity great expectations of what God is going to do!
Blessings to you all
See this week
