One of the things I forgot to announce yesterday is about the Ministerial Alliance.  They have an extreme shortage of food. This food shortage is everywhere. Even the Southeast Texas Food bank is having a shortage.  As a result, the Ministerial Alliance is spending more money simply to buy food to give away. They have told us that they need everything.  Therefore, we are going to be collecting chili and rice.  You may purchase 1lb bags of rice and 15oz cans of chili. Beans or no beans, it doesn’t matter. Times are tough and people in our community need assistance from those who can share. 

Did you know that one of the reasons for working is so that we can share with those who have a need?  God spoke through the apostle Paul as he wrote his letter to the Ephesians and said, “Let him who stole steal no longer, but rather let him labor, working with his hands what is good, that he may have something to give him who has need.”

Do you see that last sentence? Work so that you will have something to share with the needy. Let’s help our community with some food.

Another similar opportunity is with our First Saturday group. They are asking for donations towards some Thanksgiving groceries for our community.

We are also still collecting towards hurricane relief.  There are so many needs out there. Just give where God leads you. 

Hope you will plan to attend our next prayer meeting on the 2nd Sunday of the month.  All we do in this meeting is pray.  You can pray out loud if you feel led and you can remain silent if you would rather.  It is really ok.  I wonder what God would do if we really just simply began to pray as a church. Asking Him to fill us with His Spirit. Make us bold proclaimers of His gospel. Draw those in our community into a relationship with Him. What would happen if we prayed for boldness. Prayed for the lost. Asked God to work in our community? I wonder what would happen. As I said Sunday morning, there’s only one way to find out!

Pray for your One.
Pray for the Lost.
Pray for the sick.
Pray for those with burdens.
Pray for boldness.
