Well, the Pumpkin Patch is coming to an end for this year.  It has been successful again. Dollar wise we are a little bit behind last year but it actually doesn’t feel like it. One of the things we did this year was we added two more payment options. People can now pay us on their phones using different apps. These apps are connected to my phone and whenever someone sends us money, the app sends me a notification on my phone.  As a result, my phone is going off regularly. Especially on weekends. My friends have even joked that I should give the notification the sound of a cash register.

I was thinking, wouldn’t it be great if God just sent us a notification every time He blessed us? That way we could be sure to recognize the blessing and just thank Him immediately. We would always know when God was blessing. We would never miss it. It would definitely build a life of thankfulness in us.

I can tell you one blessing that I am thankful for. I am thankful for what I call “Priority Prayer.” This is our men’s prayer meeting each Monday morning at 5:30 am. It is such a blessing to see men gather and pray for our church and community. Gather early on Monday morning is an acknowledgment of how much we need Him. It does my heart good to hear them just talk to God. They simply open their hearts to God.  It is a tremendous blessing to me and to our church as well.

Please help us finish strong in the Pumpkin Patch. Sign up to work. Be a part of our Thanksgiving meal.  Let us gather as a family and show our gratefulness. Take a stand for Life this coming Sunday here at the church from 2:30 – 3:30. Participate in our Trunk or Treat.  Make plans to attend our county-wide crusade December 8-10. 

Keep praying for your One.  Keep praying for our church family and community. Keep praying. Be diligent in your praying. Pray with thanksgiving.
