BK’S KORNER
First, I just want to thank everyone for all your help in the Pumpkin Patch this year.  You have mowed grass, killed ants, set out pallets, made decorations, set up decorations, unloaded trucks, and sold pumpkins.  This is really a big endeavor and I can’t say thank you enough for all your help in making it the success that it is. Thank you!

Yesterday in my sermon I made a point that we must make an effort to focus on our God, Jesus and the gospel when we gather to worship. I want you to try to do that this coming Sunday. I don’t know how but do something to remind yourself to focus on Him.  Pray before coming. Read Scripture before leaving your house. Focus your heart and mind on the cross and the great sacrifice that has been made by God for our salvation.

God is moving in the hearts and spirits of the people in our church and community. He is at work.  We need to do two things.  One, we should thank Him for what He is doing and is about to do.  Thank Him for changing people’s lives.  Thank Him for allowing us to see it and possibly be a small part of it. Secondly, we should put ourselves in a position so that God can use us.  We need to make ourselves available to Him.  We need to individually give ourselves to Him so He can use us and do the same as a church body as well.

We need to be His hands, His feet, His mouthpiece.  We should be about His work in reconciling the world to Himself.  Pray for your church leaders and the church body as we move into the new year.  May we focus on Him and make ourselves available to Him. Pray that He would give us vision and motivation to accomplish His purposes.

Everyone enjoy your holidays as we move into the holiday season. Remember that Christ is the reason we are thankful and that Christmas is when God became man. Now, that is a reason to celebrate!

God bless you all. Have a great week. Focus on Him!
