BK's Korner, 11/7/2022

BK’S KORNER
Well, we had another very successful Pumpkin Patch.  In total we sold over $27,000 dollars of pumpkins.  Our share of that to keep was around $9,700. When you add in donations, we raised over $10,000 for our mission fund.  Now we cannot use money as an excuse for not doing mission/outreach projects.  We can also support ministries that help minister in our community.

If you didn’t pick up on it yesterday, there is a new way to pray for our church, our community and ourselves.  We want to pray that God would glorify His name. This is critical.  We want to be a people and a church where God is able to glorify Himself in us and through us.

The truth that God is glorifying Himself through accomplishing His will, is changing the way I see circumstances and the way I pray. That truth is also strengthening my faith.  I can pray with confidence knowing that God will do that exact thing.  I can know that by staying connected to Him, I will be able to experience a life where the name of the Lord is glorified.

As we enter the Thanksgiving season let us be sure to be thankful.  I want to remind you to be thankful for your spouse.  Our spouse is likely the one person in our lives that we take the most for granted.  However, a spouse who does you well is truly a gift from God. This morning a read a Proverb that said this, “Houses and riches are an inheritance from fathers, But a prudent wife is from the Lord.”  Proverbs 19:14. If you have a spouse who cares for you and supports you then you have a spouse that has been given to you by God.  We should be grateful for this gift that He has given to us. We should remember to thank Him and to tell them.

Please be in prayer for your church, community, staff, Sunday School teachers, deacons and your families. Let us make a new and fresh commitment to prayer.  Let’s watch as God glorifies His Name in answering our prayers.

Anyhow, enjoy the Holiday Season that is upon us.  Remember to enter His courts with thanksgiving.

Just a note. There will be no Wednesday night activities on Wednesday November 23. Also there will be no Soup Kitchen on November 22.

Get out there and Faith the Week
Love and Blessings
