BK’S KORNER
If you missed “A Taste of Christmas” last night then you really missed out on a good time. Everyone enjoyed the food, fellowship and the singing. Even the visit from Santa and Buddy the Elf was a hit. Building fellowship in the church body is an important element in ministry. In the coming year you will hear of some plans that I have in order to help us do exactly that. It really lifts my heart to hear our people speak positively of our church. There is a sense of excitement about what God is doing here.
You are not going to want to miss Sunday church services in January. I am going to begin to lay out a vision for who we are, who we are to be and how we are going to do it. We simply want to place ourselves into the hands of God so that He can use us to accomplish His purposes in our community.
One of the things that God is most recently laying on my heart is to lead and challenge us individually in our personal relationship with Him. In John 17:3, Jesus said that eternal life is to know God and Jesus Himself. Our relationship with Him is what Christianity is all about. Our relationship with Him is the core of everything else that we believe Christianity ought to be. If we get our relationship with Him right, then everything else falls into place. Our prayer life will change, our attitude will change, our service will change, our evangelism will change, everything will change. Everything.
I do want to thank all of you for the love offering that you gave to the staff yesterday. We are honored to serve you. We just hope that we do it in such a way as honors the Lord. We want Him to be glorified in our service to you and this church body.
I am looking forward to what God has in store for us in 2023. Let us pray and move forward in His ways and purposes.
Love you guys.
Merry Christmas to you all
See you Sunday!
