BK’S KORNER
Last night we met for prayer here at FBC. We shared about answered prayer and what God is doing in our lives.  Then we prayed for our community. We are asking God that people will trust Christ as their Savior here in our community through the ministry of The First Baptist Church. Today’s daily devotional for the staff was based on Isaiah 59:16. This verse says “He (God) saw that there was no man, And wondered that there was no intercessor….”

God was shocked, amazed, “appalled”, that He could not find one single person interceding on behalf of the people.  Let us just make a promise together to each other, to God and to the future generations of this church.  Let us promise that for as long as The First Baptist Church exists in Bridge City, Texas, God will always be able to find someone interceding for this community.  May God never be able to claim Isaiah 59:16 about our community. We will always pray for our community.

The best place to start is with, Who’s Your One?  We all need to be interceding for someone.  Who are you praying for?  Who are you asking God to use you to reach for Christ?  Just begin with prayer. Intercede for that person and watch to see how God will provide for you an opportunity to minister to them.

Round One of the Sunday School Department fellowships is in the books.  I have had positive reviews for these fellowships. Many have expressed appreciation for being able to fellowship with people who they don’t normally have the opportunity. Round two is March and April so be planning your next one.  You will not have a scheduled fellowship every round. During that round you can take a break, have your own department fellowship, or see if you can fellowship with the youth.

Please consider helping out with our Spring Egg-stravaganza.  We can definitely use your help somewhere.  Maybe your class would consider hosting a welcome table and giving away Bibles to those who need one.  Maybe you would be willing to pray for others and we could have a prayer table. Maybe you would hang out with children while they are doing crafts. You can hide eggs, monitor the hunt, serve food, set up, tear down, or even just mingle and meet people.  There will definitely be a place for you.

Hope you all have a very blessed week. Stay close to God. Pray. Glorify God by Going and Gathering.  Do everything for His glory!

Love you all
