BK’S KORNER
We’ve entered a season in our church life where when you miss church, you wonder, “What did I miss?”  You may even hear others talking about the service and it makes you want to see the replay.  Just remember, God is beginning to do a work here at First Baptist Church.  If you are not here or are not connected then you are going to miss it. If you missed yesterday, then you just missed it! 

We all have a different perspective, but from my point of view, the Spirit of God was alive and among us yesterday. People were singing during worship.  People were paying attention during the message.  God is moving in people’s hearts.  That is what we want.  That is my desire: to help people connect to God.  God can worry about the results. Our job is to provide the opportunity for a connection.

The Experiencing God study is touching people’s lives and changing them.  People are adjusting themselves to God, His purposes and His ways. It is only a matter of time before God begins to show us where He is working.  When He does, we will join Him. 

This is the month that we collect our Annie Armstrong Easter offering for North American Missions. This mission offering will be used to reach people in North America. That means in our own nation.  We certainly know that America needs the Lord. Please pray about how much the Lord would have you to give toward this offering.  Just as important please pray.  The following is a list of 7 things/people to pray for during a week of prayer for North American missions. Please pray for the following:

Estimated 275 million lost people in North America that speak 350 different languages.  Pray that our eyes would see people who need the hope of the gospel. Pray for the thousands of missionaries in North America.

Michael & Traci Byrd. Faith Community Bible Church in inner city St Louis Mo. Pray for their wisdom in reaching their neighbors. Pray for hearts open to the gospel

Itamar Elizalde. Guaynabo, Puerto Rico. Pray for boldness to share the gospel while meeting physical needs. Pray for more missionaries to work.

Jared & Jennifer Huntley. Washington DC. Pray for them to have favor among the military community. Pray for hearts to be opened in our military personnel.

Steven & Cindy Martins. St. Catharines, Ontario Canada. Pray for their church, Sevilla Chapel.  A Spanish/English church.

Brianna McKinney. Denver Colorado. Pray for workers who feel called to the Denver area. 

Amer & Vicky Safadi. Cincinnati Ohio. Pray for their effort to start an Arabic speaking church in Cincinnati.
