BK’S KORNER
Hearing a word from God. Believing God. Living like the promise is already a reality.  That is faith. I talked a little bit about that yesterday.  Step one is hearing from God. When was the last time God spoke to you?  When was the last time He showed you something about Himself? The last time He gave you a promise?

Now, answer this question. Are you putting yourself in a position to hear from God?  Are you bringing God’s Word into your life on a regular/daily basis? Do you read God’s Word regularly? Is the intentional study of God’s word in a small group setting, like Sunday School a priority for your life? Are you making room in your life for God to speak to you and then for His Word to grow and bear fruit? 

Unfortunately walking in fellowship with God, hearing His voice, and receiving His blessings do not happen automatically.  Christianity is a relationship.  A relationship with God.  Like any relationship it takes time and effort to get to know someone and to get close to them.  It takes time for a true closeness to develop in any relationship. If we really believe what we say we believe and if we truly desire to experience God then it is imperative that we make our relationship with Him a priority.  Try it.  You will come to know God in ways that you never thought possible. 

I would like to ask you to join me in praying for the ministry of our church. Pray that people would respond to the gospel. Pray that people would begin to walk closer to God. Pray that we would serve God with a great enthusiasm. Pray that all of this would happen through the ministry of our church.  In short, please pray that our church would have a fruitful ministry. 

Don’t forget to pray for your “One”.  Continue to ask God to use you to bring someone to Christ or into a closer walk with Him. You are going to be joyously surprised by how God provides the opportunity for you when you have prayed for it.
