BK’S KORNER
This year I have given you several scriptures that relate to how we need to be praying for our community and for ourselves.  Those scriptures are: Isaiah 2 :2-3; Numbers 6:24-26 and 1 Chronicles 4:10.  You might pray something similar to the following:

Lord, lift up Your church. Exalt it and establish it.  Cause the people to flow to Your church.  Put in them a hunger to know You. Plant in them a desire to know Your Word and to walk in Your ways. Let Your word always go out from Your church into the world.

Lord Bless our community and keep them close to You.  Cause Your face to shine upon them and be gracious to them.  Turn Your face toward them and give them peace. 

Lord we ask You to bless our church with Your richest blessings.  Expand our ministry as we serve You.  Let Your hand be upon us in be empowering of Your Holy Spirit. Keep us from evil as we serve You.

Let us take our praying seriously.  Let us understand it’s importance and it’s strength.  Let’s believe that God will move and act in response to our prayers. Let’s ask from God and then watch with anticipation how He may respond.  I pray that we are all “blown away” by God and His work in response to our prayers.  I pray that He will do more than we have ever imagined!

Soup Kitchen on Tuesday the 24th. Let me know if you would like to go help out.  We will take the van and leave the church around 8:45- 9:00.  Come and minister to the least of these. 

Summer is upon us.  Soon you will begin to hear about the different activities on Sunday nights.  We will do a variety of things on Sunday evenings during the summer.  I hope that you will attend.  If you missed the picnic out at Claiborne Park yesterday then you really did miss a good time.  I think everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves. 

Enjoy your summer. Relax. Enjoy the kids and grandkids. Worship and serve the Lord. Ask God to Bless you, enlarge your tent, put His hand upon you and to keep you from evil! – 1 Chronicles 4:10
