I’ve been singing a song in my heart recently.  These are the words I’ve been singing

Holy Spirit, rain down, rain down
Let Your power fall, let Your voice be heard
Come and change our lives, as we stand on Your Word
Holy Spirit rain down. 

I sincerely come each Sunday wondering if that will be the day that God’s Spirit moves among us.  The day He brings change in our lives, our church and our community.  I’m pretty sure it has already started “sprinkling” and the rain is on the way!  I don’t really know what to expect or what will happen exactly. I just know that we will know when it happens and God will change our lives.  We will experience Him like we never have before. 

For now, our part is pray.  We need to become true warriors in prayer.  We must not allow the enemy to capture the hearts and minds of those we love.  We must fight for them on our knees.  Memorize Numbers 6:24-26.  Use this blessing to pray everywhere you go.  Pray it over your home. Pray it over our community.  This is not a difficult Blessing to memorize. Use it.  Put God’s name on those you love so that God will bless them. 

We will begin our Summer Sundays this Sunday.  We will have something happening here at the Church every Sunday during the summer.  All events will begin at 5:30 pm.  Here is the schedule for the  month of June:

June 5 – Youth Bake Auction Fund Raiser.  Please bring a bake good to auction off and please bring your check book to buy some baked goods!  

June 12 – Worship service.  Preaching that evening will be Cody Hamilton (our youth minister).  Join us for worship

June 19 – Movie night. We will watch a movie and fellowship together in the Family Life Center that evening.  Right now the plan is to watch the first episode of The Chosen.

June 26 – Prayer service.  During this service we are going to pray. That’s it; pray.  Let’s intercede to God, together on behalf of our church and community.

Let us not lose sight of the fact that we are here for God’s Kingdom’s purposes. Let’s do it!
