BK’S KORNER
I know that by now most all of you have heard about Josh and Devon Fults. He is the pastor at First Baptist Church in Orange, TX. Devon had a brain surgery last week to remove what they thought was a very large tumor off her brain. It turned out to be a cyst and they were rejoicing over that diagnosis. They also have two children that I understand have some long-term medical issues as well. I would like for us to collect an offering to share with this family. I know there are sites that have been set up to help them and you may have already given to help support them. However, if you have not yet given and would like to, you may do that through our church. You can put it in an envelope marked for Fults Family. You can bring it by the office or drop it in the plate. We will make sure it gets to them. While I do not know Josh personally, I do know many people from FBC Orange and they love their pastor and wife dearly. Let us come along side this family and part of the body of Christ in this small way. Above all we definitely need to be praying for them as well.
Last night at our prayer meeting we prayed that God would use the ministry of this church to reach people with the gospel. This is the real burden of my heart. We need to see people responding to the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I hope that you will join me in praying toward that end. This is something that is really dependent upon God to do. We cannot make this happen. Only God can open people’s eyes, ears and hearts to the gospel. Only God’s Spirit can move people in such a way as to desire a relationship with Him. Please pray for that to happen.
Part of that is praying for your “One”. Intercede for them. Never stop. Continue to pray until God moves in their heart. Continue to pray for our community to have a hunger for God. Ask God to send a revival in our community. Ask Him to begin by reviving our spirits as well.
Summer is in full swing. Everyone enjoy your time. Be sure to help in VBS. Pray and worship. Pray for Cody and the Youth as they left this morning for the Ark Encounter in Kentucky.
Glorify God by Going and Gathering.
Who’s Your One?
Have a Great Summer
