BK’S KORNER
So it is very likely that I have written this article before, but it’s ok. I am doing it again.
Cheryl and I had a great trip last week to the Caribbean Coast of Mexico. I love to snorkel. I started snorkeling as a kid living in Hawaii and I still love it. Every time Cheryl and I go to the Caribbean we always make sure that I have at least one opportunity to snorkel. The thing that really strikes me when snorkeling is the colors. Everything is so colorful. The fish have amazing combinations of colors. I saw yellow, green, red, blue and even purple. The thing that amazes me is that God created these magnificent and beautiful fish even though ( at the time of creation ) no one would ever even see them. I mean I don’t know when man actually began to be able to see below the ocean but I am assuming it was centuries. God took great care to create all of that beauty even though no one would see it.
I am reminded of the passage in Matthew 6. Especially verses 28-30, “So why do you worry about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; and yet I say to you that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. Now if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?”
Now, I am going to expand on the thought and truth of this verse. Think about it. If God was so deliberate and specific to create something so beautiful; something that no one could see, how much more care do you think he put into creating us? The creation for which He died? His special creation. It brings new light and meaning to the verse that declares that we are fearfully and wonderfully made!
You are special. Created by God beautifully and wonderfully. If He went to such great lengths for the beauty of something that will likely just end up being shark food then how much more do you think He created you in beauty and wonder. Praise Him today for His great creation … YOU!
Hope you all had a great 4th. Hey, is it too early? Guess what’s coming? Get ready!
Love and Blessings to you all.
