BK'S KORNER
In 1752 a young man named Robert Robinson attended an evangelical church meeting with the intent to heckle the believers and cause a disruption. Instead, the message of the great preacher George Whitefield pierced his heart. He struggled with the decision for 3 years. Finally at the age of 20 he surrendered his life to Christ. Another three years later, while preparing a sermon for his church he wrote the words of a hymn that we sang yesterday. The first line of that hymn really spoke to my heart.

It says, "Come thou fount of every blessing, tune my heart to sing thy grace." The imagery really struck me. "Tune my heart." Like tuning a musical instrument. If you want the musical instrument to produce the correct and beautiful sound it must be tuned correctly. Likewise, our hearts must be tuned correctly in order to produce the beauty of honoring God in our worship and living. That tuning is to tune it to God's grace. All of our Christian lives are a response to God's magnificent grace. How we worship, how we pray, how we pursue Him and how we live are all reflections of how God's grace has impacted us.

I wonder if you would join me in praying this simple prayer for ourselves. We ask God to tune our hearts to sing His grace.

On another note, big shout out to all helped unload pumpkins. They are here and the Patch looks great. We are off to a good start. We just need helpers in the Patch. Please sign up for anytime that you would be willing to give to help in the Patch. The proceeds go to support mission projects and ministries both here and abroad.

Please consider giving to our Reach Texas offering. You may also give an offering to World Hunger if you are so inclined. Please continue to pray for our church and staff. Guard you hearts. Don't get distracted and let's stay the course.

Love you guys.
