BK’S KORNER
At the risk of talking about something that you may be tired of hearing about; we are definitely experiencing a drought. I know some of us may have gotten a little bit of rain yesterday, it certainly wasn’t enough to change our overall dry conditions. Our yards are drying up before our eyes. Farmers are having difficulty getting hay to feed their livestock.
Droughts are a part of the weather cycle. This isn’t the first drought we have ever been in and it certainly will not be the last. They come, and they go. The only way to get over them is with rain. We also go through “spiritual droughts” in our lives. We go through periods where our spiritual lives seem be dying. We are dry and empty spiritually. How do we overcome the spiritual drought? With the Word of God.
Isaiah 55:10-11 says:
“As the rain and the snow
come down from heaven,
and do not return to it
without watering the earth
and making it bud and flourish,
so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater,
so is my word that goes out from my mouth:
It will not return to me empty,
but will accomplish what I desire
and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.”
If you find yourself spiritually dry then allow the Word of the Lord to send refreshment to your soul. His Word will make the fruit of your life grow and bear fruit. His word will nourish you spiritually. Break your spiritual drought.
Have a great week.
Pray for your One.
Glorify, Go, Gather, Grow.
