The Gospel Above All Else
As we continue “The Joy of the Gospel” study through Philippians, we see Paul being adamant about the Gospel being preeminent. In Phil. 1:12-18, Paul is writing that his suffering has a purpose and he is a willing participant in it. His imprisonment and difficulties are propelling the Gospel forward and being used to reach the otherwise unreachable. Paul wants to see the Gospel being shared and proclaimed regardless of the conditions or circumstances. He wants his enemies to prosper as long as they continue to preach the Gospel. The Gospel is Paul’s life, calling, and very breath. Since, he has been a recipient of such great and amazing grace, the Gospel, how can he not share it far and wide? What impact has the Gospel made upon you? Does your life reflect an attitude of the Gospel above all else?
