The Gospel Fulfilled
Philippians 1:1-12
Sunday, we continued our new sermon series through the Book of Philippians, “The Joy of the Gospel.” The Gospel was costly in demanding the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. For us to receive and live out the Gospel, it will cost us, as well. The Gospel is our means of salvation, but its purpose does not stop there. The Gospel is also our promised end in that we will be like Christ. The Gospel is about transforming us not just saving us. We looked at Philippians 1:1-12 seeing that we have a promise of the Gospel being fulfilled. It is this promise that enables us to suffer for the Gospel and know that it is not in vain. Knowing the end and the means allows us to boldly go wherever God may lead. Do you believe the Gospel promise? Are you experiencing the joy that is wrapped within the Gospel?
