The Way, the Truth, and the Life
John 14:6
This Sunday, we celebrated Easter and observed the Lord’s Supper. Both of these center our thoughts on the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. We ended our series “The Walking Impossible” by looking at the text of John 14:6. This text falls within the Farewell Discourse of Jesus. Jesus in discussion with his disciples makes a phenomenal claim. He claims to be the sole proprietor of access to God and the arbiter of salvation in stating, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life” (John 14:6). His statement draws an undeniable line in the sand and forces us to decide whether to believe Him or not. If we do not believe there will be ramifications and if we do believe there must be transformation. Jesus is offering us the “impossible.” Have you experienced the “impossible?”
