Living in an Ivory Tower

On May 6, we returned to our sermon series “Tell Me a Story” by looking at the Parable of the Good Samaritan. Jesus is posed a question from a lawyer looking to earn eternal life. Jesus asked him to share his knowledge of the Law which he did perfectly. Jesus then tells the story of the Good Samaritan to demonstrate the area where people most often fail. Knowledge is necessary, but application of the knowledge is crucial. Knowing what to do is not the same thing as doing it. Jesus stuns the people by declaring the one who does the action is the one who makes a difference. Are you a difference maker?
