The Necessity of the Resurrection, continued
This Sunday, we looked at 1 Corinthians 15:20-34 in our sermon series, “All in the Family.” Paul testifies that Christ has been raised from the dead and all things have been “put in subjection” to Christ. He has destroyed “every rule and every authority and power” along with now “the last enemy …death.” Those who surrender to Christ and repent of their sins trusting in Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection have hope beyond the here and now. Those who reject Christ, refuse to repent, deny the power of the resurrection have only the here and now to enjoy and a future full of despair and suffering. Christ will not be ignored. The reality of this means we must act upon the truth of the resurrection. If we have not repented and believed upon Christ now is the time. If we have done so then we must live an evident transformed life that is active in the killing off sin and adding in the fruit of the Spirit. No change no Christ.
The resurrection of Christ changes everything. Has it changed you?
