BK’S KORNER
The other day I was in Walgreens picking up a prescription. It wasn’t very crowded. I saw a little boy playing in the store. He was on the toy isle just playing up a storm. I used to be that little boy. I remember this one time when I found a boat that I wanted. It was perfect, it was just right the size, and it was made of plastic so it would float in the tub. Anyhow, mom said I could get it, there was a catch, I had to pay for it out of my own allowance money. I saved and saved. Finally, I had enough money. We went down to the store and I was prepared to buy it. At the last minute I changed my mind. I bought an umbrella! That’s right an umbrella. You see, my sister was also going to buy something. She chose an umbrella. It was peer pressure! Can you imagine a boy deciding to by an umbrella instead of a boat? Neither can I.
We are all subject to pressure from other people. Nowhere is it greater than with our young people. I am very proud of the young man who came forward on Sunday. Let’s start using pressure in reverse. Let’s start pressuring people in reverse. Let’s let people know that it is ok to serve Christ!
Remember to pray for renewal and revival in our Church. We need it now more than ever. However, in Christ we can be assured that we are victorious! In Christ we do have the victory! People need to see that and now that.
Pray!
Pray for our entire community!
Prayer and Blessings.
